Rev. Brooks Barrick
Rev. Brooks Barrick is an Indiana native. As a second career minister he has lived in the “real” world and understands the struggles of the common person. Before attending Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, where he received his Master of Divinity, he was an educator and coach. Rev. Barrick has been married to Barbara since 1975. She is a Labor and Delivery Nurse. They have 6 children and 4 grand-children.
Rev. Barrick has completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education and has worked as a hospital chaplain at Saint John’s Hospital and Howard Community Hospital. He completed part of his clinical education at Indiana University/Riley’s Children’s Hospital. He has served churches in Illinois and Indiana. His undergraduate degree comes from Anderson University. Most recently he was the Chair for Local Mission for the 2009 General Assembly of the Christian Church.
In his free time Rev. Barrick likes to read, exercise, kayak, fish, watch sports and spend time with his family. He is a huge movie buff and once watched every movie that had won the Best Picture Award from the Academy Awards. Also, the whole family loves the beach, ocean, water sports and vacationing.
